PLEASE NOTE - YOU ARE REQUIRED TO A FACE MASK WHEN ATTENDING THE SURGERY.

Covid Boosters

You may receive a message from NHS 119 to book an appointment for your Covid Booster.  Local centres at the Pirelli Stadium in Burton and Uttoxeter Racecourse are offering Covid Booster vaccinations but these are not bookable via 119 or the national online booking service.

Your GP practice will contact you directly, by text message or phone call, with an invitation to book an appointment at these centres. Covid Boosters can be given 6 months after your second Covid vaccination, so your practice will contact you at the appropriate time.  You can only have the booster earlier for specific clinical reasons (e.g. you are immunosuppressed or have been advised by your consultant or GP to book your vaccination). If you are one of those to whom this applies, your GP surgery will contact you.

Thank you

East Staffordshire GP Practices

COVID 19

There are three simple actions we must all do to keep on protecting each other

  • Wash hands keep washing your hands regularly
  • Cover face wear a face covering in enclosed spaces
  • Make space stay at least 2 metres apart - or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions

All patients will now be required to wear their own face covering when attending an appointment at the surgery (exemptions apply to very young children, disabled patients and those with breathing difficulties)

ALL CLINCIANS ARE WEARING FULL PPE WHEN SEEING PATIENTS FACE TO FACE.

We know this will be a difficult time for our patients, and their families, friends and carers. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us to protect our patients and staff.

The Blues Programme gives young people the tools to look after their emotional wellbeing

The Blues Programme is an internationally acclaimed wellbeing programme for young people aged 13-19. Over six weeks, it teaches emotional resilience, and reduces low mood and anxious thoughts. Crucially, it gets teenagers talking.

On average, every classroom in Britain has three children with a diagnosable mental health illness. So far, we’ve delivered The Blues Programme in over 150 schools, to more than 5,500 young people.

  • 76% of students say it improved their wellbeing.
  • 80% feel comfortable talking about their mental health.
  • 98% would recommend Blues to one of their friends.
